Smartlipo is a revolutionary new method for removal of areas of fat that create bulges and you just can't seem to lose with diet and exercise.  It may be your lower or upper abs or love handles or many other body parts.

Traditional liposuction has been available for years, and is used to treat large areas of the body where fat deposits have become prevalent. Traditional liposuction is usually done under general anesthesia. Recovery is slow, and bruising is usually extensive. Traditional liposuction is performed in the deep layers of fat, but often the small, annoying bulges in the superficial fat remain after surgery.

While Smartlipo is being performed, the patient will be kept comfortable using local anesthesia and an oral medication. A lidocaine and epinephrine solution will be infused into the fat to be removed, eliminating pain and greatly reducing bleeding. Small incisions will be made in the skin, and a tiny cannula (hollow tube with suction attached) will be introduced into the fatty area. A fiberoptic laser goes through the cannula, and melts the fat before it is suctioned away. This method is much less traumatic to the patient. The use of the laser has the added benefit of tightening the skin by heating the lower layers, and stimulating collagen production and strengthening the bond between the skin and underlying muscle.
